Good afternoon friends! We have been in trouble this morning (hence our late blog) due to a couple of misunderstandings with the humans. Firstly, Bella decided to play dress-up in the boxer shorts that boy-man was planning to wear after his morning shower. She really loves wearing them and he is always leaving them lying around so it seems fair to us! Anyway, he wasn’t too happy and began moaning about ‘being late’ for work again. He seems to talk about being late a lot – we think he should just get up earlier to account for any games we might like to play with him.
After that girl-woman got up and fed us which was good. She then tried to have her own breakfast without sharing though (disgraceful) and got really upset when we dragged her boiled egg onto the floor and then spread the yolky part around. She must have been upset as she didn’t even take a photo and she usually photographs all of our art work. Bella thinks that maybe she wanted to eat the egg…
In an effort to make amends we tried to help her with her latest drawings…
Sadly, it made no difference and she was still cross with us. We then made the ultimate demonstration of love by making a fuss of the fake kitties that often seem to live on her feet. We distrust these fat-headed kitties but girl-woman seems to like them.
Even this attention didn’t seem to cheer her up. We were running out of ideas when we noticed that she had accidentally left one of the lounge windows wide open! The humans usually have strict rules about small window openings to stop us having fun with the seagulls but today girl-woman had forgotten!
Quick as a flash we were out on the ledge exploring. It was so much fun seeing all the traffic driving along below us.
There were also many seagulls flying past which we were about to attack when girl-woman suddenly decided to forgive us. She scooped us both up in a huge hug and kept saying ‘sorry’ over and over. We forgave her of course, especially as she was being so harsh on herself. She even got on the phone to boy-man to tell him about the ‘window incident’ which wasn’t really an ‘incident’ at all. If only she’d have waited 2 seconds longer – we would have been on the seagull’s back and then she would have had a real story to tell him!
Ah well, better luck next time. At least girl-woman is happy again now 🙂
